A little help.

Please include your macOS version, Skitchlet version, and the steps that led to the issue. Share a sample image only if you are comfortable sending its contents by email.
Capture your screen
Keep Skitchlet running and press ⌘⇧2, or use the Capture button, File menu or menu bar. Drag to select an area. Escape cancels.
Capture permission
macOS requires Screen Recording permission. Follow Skitchlet’s prompt to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording (called Screen Recording on older versions), then enable Skitchlet. Reopen the app if macOS asks you to. You can open and annotate existing images without screen access.
The shortcut doesn’t respond
Confirm that Skitchlet is running. Another app may already be using ⌘⇧2. Try Capture from Skitchlet’s File menu or menu bar to check the capture flow.
Mark it, then share it
Open an image, paste from the clipboard or drop a file onto the editor. Add arrows, shapes, freehand lines, text or pixelation. Copy the result, save a PNG, or use the pink Drag me handle with Finder or another app that accepts image files.
Keeping your edits
Editable annotations stay in the current session. Exported PNGs are flattened, and the app does not yet save editable project files. Save or export before quitting. Cropping also flattens the image; Undo restores the editable version.
Closing and quitting
Closing the editor leaves the capture shortcut and menu bar active. Use the menu bar or Dock to reopen the editor. Press ⌘Q to quit Skitchlet.
Requirements
Skitchlet requires macOS 14 or later. Check the download information for the architectures included in a particular release.
