What comes next.
These are plans for future releases. Scope may change, and no launch date or release number is committed. Everything marked “Available now” above remains free.
Planned for Free
- Multiple editable screenshots. Keep more than one image open and move between your edits. Today, Skitchlet has one editable canvas plus flattened, session-only pins.
- More capture modes and shortcut options. Expand the ways you start and frame a capture. Today’s release provides area capture with the fixed ⌘⇧2 shortcut; additional modes and shortcut choices are still planned.
Planned for Pro
- Saved editable projects. Save named .skitchlet files and reopen the original image, annotations and crop to continue later.
- A searchable capture library. Organize and find screenshots as your collection grows.
- Scrolling capture. Capture longer content beyond a single screen.
- Reusable styles and export presets. Keep a consistent look and repeat preferred export settings.
- Multi-step guides and layouts. Turn screenshots into instructions, then replace individual screenshots as the steps change.
- Batch automation. Repeat workflows across a set of images.
- Markdown and PDF guide exports. Share a guide in a format suited to documentation or handoff.
Purchasing and activating Pro are not available in 0.3.0. Express interest in a future Pro release, or keep using Free today.
