Your images stay local.
Skitchlet processes screenshots and images on your Mac. The app does not upload them to a developer-operated server.
Privacy policy for Skitchlet, developed by rhadient.tech. Updated 25 October 2026.
Using the app
The current app does not require an account and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. It does not collect or transmit your screenshots, images, annotations, usage history, device identifiers or location to the developer.
Screen capture uses macOS Screen Recording permission. Full-display snapshots are used in memory while you select an area; the selected image then opens in the editor. Skitchlet does not create a recording history or send captures to a server. You can revoke permission in System Settings.
Files and settings
Images and editable annotations remain in memory during the current session. Saving a PNG writes a file to the location you choose. Copy writes the exported image to the macOS clipboard. Dragging an export creates a temporary PNG file so the receiving app can use it. Your appearance preference is stored locally on your Mac.
Files you save, temporary exports, clipboard contents and images you send to other apps are subject to your Mac’s storage, clipboard and backup settings and the receiving app’s practices. Quitting Skitchlet does not delete images you have saved or shared.
Contacting support
If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and anything you choose to include in the message or attachments. This information is used to respond to your request and investigate the issue. Avoid sending sensitive screenshots or information that is not needed for support.
To ask about a support message or request its deletion, contact the same address. Some messages may need to be retained to resolve an ongoing request or meet applicable obligations.
Website and Apple services
skitchlet.com is hosted by Cloudflare. Visiting the website involves standard connection information, such as your IP address, being processed by the hosting provider to deliver and secure the site. This is separate from the app’s local image processing. The site does not embed advertising or analytics scripts.
Apple handles App Store distribution, purchases where applicable, and any diagnostics you choose to share through macOS or Apple services under Apple’s privacy settings and policies. Skitchlet does not include its own diagnostic-upload service.
